During this week (between week 1 and 2) we continued working in our groups from induction week to come up with our product overview, create a brand as well as explaining how it would work.

I researched existing branding styles for homeless charities to get and idea of the types of typography commonly used as well as looking into representation for homelessness whether it be colours, iconography, symbols etc. During this research i discovered a lot of the existing brands are using san-serif font types so i then went to google fonts and suggested a few option for our wordmark to the group. We settled on Nanum Gothic. I also discovered during research that orange is the colour of the ribbon associated with hunger and homelessness awareness so I thought this was an appropriate colour scheme to use for our branding and then purple or black would be orange’s complimentary colour. From here i came up with the following branding options using a variation of the typographic choices:

Other members of our group also created some options for branding and we settles on one of Anna's designs to represent our product.
