Maze is an online tool that assists with the product research stages of any design process. This was a platform I hadn’t previously heard of but Kyle made it very clear that it would be a useful tool when it came to my time for testing RX Ready with my users. I found the online tool to be very straightforward to use and set up my tasks etc for my users to complete and Maze traced and tracked their individual clicks and produced highly accurate results based on these outcomes. Whether it took the user an indirect route to complete the task, a direct route or if they abandoned the task. All of these were displayed within my testing results. The only issue I had with the tool was that it seems to be hit or miss whether it works depending on user device or what platform you’re using to view it like chrome, safari etc.

Before starting this overall process, I planned out the tasks I needed my users to test in order to get valuable feedback as to whether they could complete and use the main functions the app provides. Below see my tasks list for my first round of testing:

  1. Complete Registration: Please complete the registration process
  2. Reorder your Prescription: Please reorder your Sertraline and your daughter Tori's Cerazette repeat medication.
  3. Track your Prescription: Please track your prescriptions progress and select a secure location for the delivery of your items.
  4. Alert Schedule: Please add an alert to your medication schedule.

By receiving feedback on these areas of the app which also include features such as dashboard etc during the flow, I will receive a clear indication as to what needs improved in order to provide my users with a better user experience.
